New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton received permission to attend Saturday's Hall of Fame ceremony that involves two players with affiliations with the organization. Payton, suspended for the 2012 season and prohibited from having contact with the Saints until February 2013, will attend the ceremony Saturday night to witness offensive tackle Willie Roaf be enshrined. Payton also wanted to be in Canton with defensive tackle Cortez Kennedy entering the Hall of Fame. Kennedy worked for the Saints after spending his entire playing career with the Seahawks. Roaf was a premier left tackle with the Saints from 1993-2001. Commissioner Roger Goodell is already in Canton but said he had no plans to meet with the Saints. However, he said he's open to a meeting if the team requests one. Payton is not allowed to visit the Saints or have contact with the team, which plays Sunday night in the Hall of Fame game against the Cardinals.

New Orleans Saints Will Choke in 2012

Will the Saints be able to handle the whip lash that lingers from the 2011 season and continues to overshadow the 2012 football season, even before it has begun? Will the Saints be able to navigate through treacherous waters and overcome the stigma of shame and betrayal that they have shown to the loyal, yet somewhat bewildered fans of the great city of New Orleans? Will they be...

For New Orleans Saints, Hall of Fame Game the Beginning of Sean Payton-less Season

The Hall of Fame Game in Canton returns today after being taken off the schedule in 2011 due to the lockout. Will New Orleans Saints Repeat as NFC South Champs? History Says No

Throughout its 10-year history, the NFC South has been consistently inconsistent – and wildly entertaining. Since the NFL realignment in 2002, not one NFC South team – the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers or Tampa Bay Buccaneers – has won the division in consecutive seasons. Also since 2002, each NFC South team has not only won at least two division...

Evan Royster Redskins Starter?

Shanny’s been giving me love Juan… Now, I don’t trust Shanny and Son further than I can throw Darren Sproles, but Royster has been working will the starters all camp for various reasons.  First, Tim Hightower is not 100% and was not impressive at all last season when he was.  Roy Helu doesn’t have the backing of the staff and Royster finished 2011 with back to back 100...
