New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton and general manager Mickey Loomis plan to be at the NFL offices in New York Tuesday for their respective appeals following suspensions due to the team’s bounty scandal.According to ESPN, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell won’t waste any time and is pushing for an expedited appeal. He is expected to have his ruling soon after both cases are made.Payton was served a season-long suspension for the Saints’ bounty program, which provided incentives to players for injuring opponents. Loomis was dealt an eight-game ban, beginning at the end of the preseason. Former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, who ran the bounty program, was suspended indefinitely. As many as 27 players have been rumored to be sanctioned for their roles in the program. However, the league has not provided any evidence to the NFL Players Association, according to DeMaurice Smith, executive director of the NFLPA.

Video: Saints Coach Sean Payton’s Care-Free & Playing Drums For Jimmy Buffet.

New Orleans Saints Head Coach Sean Payton is not letting his situation get him down. He’s chilling at Jimmy Buffet concerts banging on the drums. Buffet even appeared on stage wearing a ” free Sean Payton” t-shirt. If that doesn’t change NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s mind nothing will. Watch the video at the link below.

Since the NFL announced that Sean Payton has been suspended for a full year as a result of the Saints bounty program, Payton has had plenty of supporters. While the situation is serious, most people seem to believe the punishment for Payton in particular is too harsh. Over the weekend, he may have received his strongest endorsement yet. Payton was a special guest at Jimmy Buffet’s...

Some of Sean Payton's assistant coaches are reportedly upset over the possibility of Bill Parcells coaching the Saints in 2012. They believe a current New Orleans could handle the job.

Saints Nation: Does Sean Payton's Appeal Stand Any Chance?

The suspended duo on the Saints' staff (pictured) of Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis will have their appeals heard tomorrow in an attempt to have their suspensions reduced. Joe Vitt has also appealed his suspension but no hearing it set for that yet. Payton is fighting a calendar year suspension, whereas Loomis and Vitt are contesting 8 games and 6 games respectively. The Saints...

And here’s Sean Payton playing the bongos during a Jimmy Buffet concert

Looks like Sean Payton is handling his yearlong suspension from the NFL relatively well. So well that he took a little time from his not so busy schedule to play the bongos during Jimmy Buffet’s concert last night in New Orleans. And just for good measure, Buffet wore his “Free Sean Payton” t-shirt.Guess Payton won’t be laying low during his suspension.Via @lmbnola

Loomis is appealing the eight game suspension and $500,000 fine by the NFL.

Personally, I didn't know that New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton had any bongo playing training but last night, he showed off those skills. Payton was in attendance for a Jimmy Buffett concert and was brought up on stage to help out during the song, "Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes": (Courtesy of The Big Lead)

In Retrospect, Sean Payton’s Yearlong Suspension Was Totally Deserved

For no other reason than possibly making himself even less sympathetic, Sean Payton played the bongos at a free Jimmy Buffett show in New Orleans on Sunday while Buffett wore a “Free Sean Payton” shirt. I find that more reprehensible than the bounty program itself. Worse still, Payton came through for the appearance after Buffett’s website played an April Fool’s joke that...
