Greg Camarillo has been re-signed by the New Orleans Saints. The Saints released Camarillo just over a week ago. While on the team for Weeks 2 and 3 he never caught a pass. His role with the team is expected to be minimal. Camarillo, 30, has played regular season games for Miami and Minnesota dating back to the 2007 season.

Saints interim Head Coach Aaron Kromer: “We’re not the same team”

It’s a hard act to follow when the GM, Head Coach, and Assistant Head Coach have put together one of the model franchises in the NFL, however, none of them can’t be in touch with the team due to the bounty suspensions. Interim Head Coach Aaron Kromer is going through just that. Sean Payton who is largely credited for the building of Saints into a NFL powerhouse, can’t even...

Saints Coach Payton Will Not Ask Permission To Attend Potential…

Saints Coach Payton Will Not Ask Permission To Attend Potential Record-Breaking Game - Suspended New Orleans head coach Sean Payton doesn’t plan to ask the NFL for special permission to witness Saints quarterback Drew Brees breaking Johnny Unitas’ NFL record for consecutive games with a touchdown pass. The Saints (0-4) play the San Diego Chargers (3-1) on Sunday night, but Payton...

Son of Unitas sends Brees letter about TD record

With Drew Brees in position to break Hall of Fame quarterback Johnny Unitas' record for consecutive games with a touchdown pass, Unitas' son has sent words of encouragement to the Saints quarterback. A letter from Joe Unitas, which the Saints posted on a team website, congratulates Brees for tying the record of 47 straight games last weekend in Green Bay. Joe Unitas says...

Johnny Unitas’ son sent Drew Brees a letter congratulating him on tying his father’s record

There was at least one bright spot for the Saints in the loss to the Packers on Sunday. During the game, Drew Brees tied NFL great Johnny Unitas’ record of 47 consecutive games with at least one touchdown. Brees now has a chance to break the record that has stood for 52 years this Sunday when the Saints play the Chargers. And all he has to do is do what he does best, throw a touchdown...

Drew Brees, Saints Struggling To Find Spark After Horrible Start

Let's see, where should I start?  Worst run defense in the league, pass defense ranks within the last ten teams in the league, only six total team sacks, no running game, numerous mental lapses… bottom line is the New Orleans Saints just aren’t really good right now and things won’t get any easier for them as the season progresses.Coming into the season, I knew the defense...

TE Graham says Gates' success paved way for him

Pro Bowl tight end Jimmy Graham wonders if he would even be in the NFL if not for the success Drew Brees had with Antonio Gates in San Diego more than a half decade ago. Graham, who played only one season of college football at Miami after four years of basketball, says he knows Gates paved the way for him. Brees says Gates was ''an experiment'' when he joined the...

Saints Nation: Saints' Defensive and Special Teams Player Grades @ Packers

There's nothing more to say about this defense than to sum it up by saying they suck. I hate to be that crass or simplistic, but right now they really don't do anything well. The run defense is porous, the pass defense is shaky at best when they are 100% healthy (which hasn't been often) and the pass rush takes bad to a whole new level. I have a theory that this defense...

Saints Nation: Scouting the Chargers

The Saints are 0-4 and the only thing we have to really root for at this point is Brees getting the consecutive games with a passing touchdown record. He's currently tied with Johnny Unitas and one touchdown pass in this game will give him what he needs to eclipse it. So who will be the man to catch that touchdown pass? I'm going with Jimmy Graham. Of course while the Saints...
