One area the Saints needed to get better this season was their defensive line.
The reconfigured unit came up big against Chicago on Sunday, limiting the Bears to just 60 yards rushing in New Orleans' 30-13 victory.
New Orleans signed Shaun Rogers and Aubrayo Franklin to shore up its defensive front. The Saints finished 2010 ranked 16th against the run and gave up 150 rushing yards in their playoff loss to Seattle.
Rogers and Franklin teamed with Sedrick Ellis and Mitch King to make things tough on Chicago. The foursome forced double teams by the Bears, freeing other Saints to make tackles.
