Preseason football games give the unknown superstars of tomorrow a chance to show their stuff in front of the coaches and adoring fans. During a preseason game in 1995, Denver Broncos rookie running back Terrell Davis made a name for himself with a vicious tackle during a kickoff. The 6th round draft pick made the roster and had a tremendous career in Denver starring on two Super Bowl teams.
The New Orleans Saints’ undrafted rookie running back Travaris Cadet did not make any vicious hits, but he certainly made an impression on the coaches and fans in Canton, OH. Cadet caught eight passes for 80 yards and one touchdown. His 24 yard catch and run during the second quarter sent a buzz through the crowd.
