New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston will be shut down after he developed irritation and swelling in his surgically repaired right knee.
Colston underwent microfracture surgery on his knee during the offseason, and the wideout has missed six straight practices. He has had five surgeries on his knees during his brief career
"It's getting better," Colston told the New Orleans Times-Picayune. "We're just trying to be patient."
The 27-year-old hauled in 84 passes for 1,023 yards and seven touchdowns last season, marking his fourth career 1,000-yard campaign.
