Norv Turner may be out at the end of the season but the San Diego Chargers will have him on the sidelines Sunday when they travel to Pittsburgh. The Steelers pulled off a stunning win last week in Baltimore with third-sting quarterback Charlie Batch but this weekend they will welcome back Ben Roethilisberger. The Chargers continue to disappoint. Despite a defense in the top half of points allowed, 21.4, the team finds itself playing out the string. Gone are the days where Phillip Rivers was a convincing top tier quarterback and Ryan Matthews no longer seems like the best option at running back. Pittsburgh is sixth in points allowed at 19.2 points per game and they are the top ranked team against the pass. Their run defense is not too shabby either at fifth best. The Steelers offensive numbers are not impressive but its worth considering they have played without Roethlisberger the last few weekends. So whats the spread in the Chargers and Steelers game? The Steelers are 7.5 point fav...

Chargers' win not expected to save Turner's job

Chargers President Dean Spanos presented Norv Turner with a game ball after San Diego stunned the Steelers, its first regular-season victory in Pittsburgh in 15 tries. That's the same Dean Spanos who is expected to fire Turner, most likely along with general manager A.J. Smith, shortly after this dismal season ends. The 34-24 victory Sunday isn't expected to change anything...

Why Norv Turner Is Getting The Boot From San Diego Chargers

As Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reported, Norv Turner is done in San Diego after this season.I said about a month ago: "I don't know why or how Norv Turner is still the coach of the San Diego Chargers."It looks like Chargers president Dean Spanos saw my article and took action! Well, I doubt that, but he see's the same things the rest of us do -- Norv...

Spanos quickly shot down the rumors and said in a statement, “There is only one person in this organization...

Eliminate the Suicide Week 14: Guided by Eagles, Bucs Find Treasure on 100 Yard Island

Now that’s more like it.  Even though I got burnt by Charlie Batch last week, it was nice to see some upsets peer through the scoreboard in week 13.  I guess it wasn’t nice to see if you had selected San Francisco, Baltimore, Chicago or Carolina.  In the first two of those games, the team projected to win lost to an intense division rival.  I fell for the trap last week as...
