In 2012, the San Francisco 49ers were on the path to a beautiful season even before Alex Smith was sidelined for a couple of weeks, but Colin Kaepernick brought a new excitement to the team. However, this season might play out differently for Kaepernick and the 49ers.here's their 2013 schedule listed below:Week 1: Sunday, Sept. 8, Green Bay, 4:25 p.m.Week 2: Sunday, Sept. 15, at Seattle, 8:30 p.m.Week 3: Sunday, Sept. 22, Indianapolis, 4:25 p.m.Week 4: Thursday, Sept. 26, at St. Louis, 8:25 p.m.Week 5: Sunday, Oct. 6, Houston, 8:30 p.m.Week 6: Sunday, Oct. 13, Arizona, 4:25 p.m.Week 7: Sunday, Oct. 20, at Tennessee, 4:05 p.m.Week 8: Sunday, Oct. 27, at Jacksonville, 1:00 p.m.Week 9: BYEWeek 10: Sunday, Nov. 10, Carolina, 4:05 p.m.Week 11: Sunday, Nov. 17, at New Orleans, 4:25 p.m.Week 12: Monday, Nov. 25, at Washington, 8:30 p.m.Week 13: Sunday, Dec. 1, St. Louis, 4:05 p.m.Week 14: Sunday, Dec. 8, Seattle, 4:25 p.m.Week 15: Sunday, Dec. 15, at Tampa Bay, 1:00 p.m.Week 16: Monday, Dec. 23, Atlanta, 8:30 p.m.Week 17: Sunday, Dec. 29, at Arizona, 4:25 p.m.The 49ers face off against three tough playoff bound teams in the first three weeks of the season. If the sophomore, Kaepernick, doesn't start 0-3, he's already done a great job. Week 5 may be a challenge as well against Houston before the 49ers get, what should be, three easy wins before their off week. After the break, the 49ers have tough matchups on Weeks 11, 12, 14, 15, and 16. To put it another way, they really only have seven games you can really expect them to win and the rest of the season they have their work cut out for them. Why is this Kaepernick's problem? The tough offenses his defense will have to face will means he will have to come to the field every week and bring all he can. The quarterbacks he will be facing, just to name a few, are: Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck, Cam Newton, and Robert Griffin III.Why else is Kaepernick at a disadvantage?Well, last season he mostly came off of the bench and ran the ball or handed the ball off before he became the full-time quarterback. When he took over the wheel, teams didn't have much footage or scouting on his passing game in the NFL. You better believe that teams who are facing the NFC Champions will be paying extra close attention to how this young, new quarterback plays. The 49ers are still a great team and will make the playoffs, unless something goes horribly wrong, but Kaepernick will have a tough time in 2013. You can also be sure that the media will blame him for a poor team performance, even if they do start the season 1-2 against those tough teams. For more NFL coverage and analysis follow me on twitter @AnoopKat or check out my other articles here on Football Nation
