By now you should be well read in the personal life of New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez and the 17 year old high school girl from Connecticut.
And yes, we know that any alleged sexual relations between the parties is perfectly legal in both New York and New Jersey.
But the bigger question is: What is Mark Sanchez thinking?
Here is the QB for the New York Jets; millionaire many times over, and seemingly able to have his pick of women, going after (repeatedly through texts), and allegedly bedding, a 17 year high school girl?
While the Jets said on Saturday that the team won’t be discussing Sanchez’s private life, this story won’t just disappear overnight. What can possibly be going through Sanchez’s mind in having a relationship with a high-schooler?
Has he learned anything from Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger who has turned into a NFL villian? Yes, Roethlisberger was a different situation, but in the NFL, you need to be careful and not do anything that can jeopardize your standing in the NFL and the community.
