Jets would have been better off with Sanchez

My next sentence may make Jets fans punch the computer screen throw their phones or rip the newspaper in half. The Jets miss Mark Sanchez (I’m ducking). I know I know. It seems like an impossible illogical thing to say. But the 2013 Jets would be a better team right now with Sanchez under center instead of Geno Smith. Sanchez was thriving in Marty Mornhinweg’s system during...

Geno Smith doing impressions of Mark Sanchez

Is it me or did Geno Smith do a great impression of Mark Sanchez? The New York Jets most recent game was a reminder of what happens when the defense can’t keep up their end of the bargain. At 2-1 this was a game to show if the Jets were for real or just lucky? Guess lady luck wasn’t a fan of the New York Jets. THE GOOD There is a silver lining for everything and while watching...

Geno Smith honors Mark Sanchez with his own butt fumble

It seems that there is one play that is always on standby for the New York Jets. It is the butt fumble. Mark Sanchez made it famous in a game against the Patriots and today rookie QB Geno Smith does his own version of that play. During the game against the Tennessee Titans Smith was trying to avoid a sack, but as he started running backward things got worse for the rookie. It seems...

The Morning After: NY Jets @ Tennessee Titans (13-38)

I don’t know what it is about Tennessee, but recently, whenever the Jets pay the Titans a visit, the Jets quarterbacks play some of the worst football on the planet.  Last season, in Tennessee, was the last time we saw Mark Sanchez start a regular season game.  Sanchez committed five turnovers and was benched mid-game.  Yesterday, Geno Smith wasn’t any better. Four out of...

Geno Smith Had A Buttfumble

Geno Smith proved himself to be a true New York Jet on Sunday. In the legendary tradition of Mark Sanchez, the Jets newest quarterback managed to buttfumble. Smith was able to follow in the footsteps of Sanchez and had two interceptions and two fumbles against the Tennessee Titans. Top 10 reasons why Rex Ryan is staying with Geno Smith

What A Franchise 10) After the Mark Sanchez Era, four turnovers from your QB is fairly easy to take9) He's tied for the league lead in turnovers with Eli Manning, and Manning's won two Super Bowls, so he must be good8) It's not as if anyone else on the roster can play quarterback worth a damn, either7) The other alternatives (Matt Simms or Brady Quinn) are going to be...
