According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Bills RB Marshawn Lynch will remain in Buffalo this season. “I’ve heard many people speak boldly and say Lynch will not be back in Buffalo,” said Schefter, per an ESPN blog post. “I’m in the other camp — I think he will be there.” It should be worth noting that Lynch is under contract with Buffalo through 2011, with an affordable base salary and club option for 2012. At this point, the Bills would be accepting cents on the dollar if they decided to trade him at market value. “I think he is worth more to the Bills than another team would be willing to give up for him,” added Schefter. “Other teams have been unwilling to surrender much.” Lynch reportedly looked impressive during OTAs last week, before skipping practice to attend Justin Forsett’s wedding in Dallas. It remains to be seen what type of role he will play in the offense, with both Fred Jackson and rookie C.J. Spiller slated for the majority of work this preseason.
