(By Scott Fowler, sfowler@charlotteobserver.com) Julius Peppers looked fully engaged in this game. He was hustling to the ball and getting great push. It was the best game Peppers has played in close to a year. He helped cause the safety credited to Thomas Davis by forcing Clinton Portis inside and he had two sacks. The Redskins, banged up on the offensive line and recognizing that they were catching Peppers on one of his "100 percent" days, double-teamed him on practically every passing down.Neither Peppers nor linebacker Jon Beason were talking to the media after the game. That wasn't unusual for the extremely shy Peppers, who avoided the media entirely by never appearing in the locker room during the period when it was open to reporters. Beason, though, usually fills notebooks. He looked chastened, though, and said he was not giving any interviews.
