NFL Injury Report:
Seattle Seahawks right tackle Breno Giacomini could return relatively soon after having a knee procedure on Monday, according to Clare Farnsworth of the Seahawks' official web page. Giacomini has struggled with the knee this season and finally had a procedure to clean up some of the “loose bodies” that had been causing him discomfort. Early word from the Seahawks organization is that the surgery went well and Giacomini should be eligible to return in the next couple of weeks. The Seahawks starting right tackle missed their game against the Houston Texans on Sunday. Rookie offensive tackle Michael Bowie started in his place. It was quite the indoctrination as Bowie immediately faced off against the reigning Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt. While Seattle’s offensive line struggled early in the contest, they battled back and eventually helped the Seahawks pull out an improbable overtime victory on the road in a hostile environment. Bowie did about as well as most NFL right tackles against Watt, which is more than the Seahawks could have asked of the rookie. Of course, some of the offensive line struggles from Sunday could also be attributed to the absence of All-Pro center Max Unger. Unger was inactive due to an arm injury, but could return to the starting lineup as soon as next week. Lemuel Jeanpierre was the starting center in his place. Look at Russell Wilson. Enough gets said about the Seattle Seahawks’ quarterback being short. But he’s adorable, too, and I don’t usually say that about guys. I just want to take him home to mom and tell her he’s my new little brother.
And he’ll kill you, in a metaphorical football sense. Get between him and a win, he’ll leave you in the gutter with blood on your face...
Someone forgot to tell the Seattle Seahawks to play hard in the 2nd quarter of the Houston game. The Seahawks pick an odd time to go on break offensively but that didn’t stop this team from setting a new franchise record. This is the first time the Seahawks have gotten off to a 4-0 start in franchise history. Seattle found enough heart to come back and beat the Houston Texans from...
The Seahawks showed that they not only can come from behind, but CB Richard Sherman can outrun the Texans with only one shoe on. This team is good, very good and could get even better.
Through four games, the Seattle Seahawks are averaging some impressive totals, ranking second in points allowed with 11.8, sixth in total yards allowed with 300.2, fifth in pass yards allowed with 191.2 and 18th in rush yards allowed with 109.0. Combined with an offense averaging 27.2 points per game, it is easy to understand why […]
The Seattle Seahawks have proverbially shaken off their detractors with a nothing-than-dramatic comeback victory in overtime against the Houston Texans.Russell Wilson and Seattle have been the media darling of the NFL this season, along with the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning, but one thing that critics and analyst have repeatedly pointed out is the difference between Seattle...
Seattle Seahawks RT Breno Giacomini had surgery on his ailing knee and there is no timetable for his return, coach Pete Carroll said during an appearance on 710 ESPN on Monday.
Did you happen to miss the Seahawks vs. Texans game on Sunday? Sorry. But you missed another Beastmode run from the man we call Marshawn Lynch.
IT will in my mind go down as one of the best 43-yard run’s in NFL History.
Thanks to the guys from from ThirdandWrong.com for throwing up this .gif.

Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett left Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans with a lower back injury, according to NFL.com's Greg Rosenthal. Bennett sustained the injury in the second quarter and was unfortunately carted off the field on a stretcher. Thankfully, he was still able to move his arms and legs after the play. Bennett was later cleared by hospital...
After the final preseason game, Bruce Irvin didn't want to remove his jersey and shoulder pads, knowing it would be sometime in October before he would be back in a Seahawks uniform.
No wonder Irvin wore a huge smile Wednesday when he finally got back on the practice field after serving a four-game suspension for using a banned substance.
Irvin, the Seahawks' first-round...
It’s pretty amazing whenever Marshawn Lynch gets a full head of steam. I can’t imagine what must be going through the heads of defenders when Lynch is running right at them, but I can’t imagine they are anything but terrified. Watch, as Lynch simply refuses to go down on this 43-yard run against the Houston Texans yesterday.
Lynch finished the day with 98 rushing yards...
The Seattle Seahawks have been arguably the best team through the first quarter of the year, but their one criticism was they can’t win on the road. And it looked like that criticism was going to be proved true, when the Seahawks went to Houston to play the Texans. Down 20-6 to start the 4th quarter, Seattle looked finished. But they didn’t quit. Seattle rallied back, with the...
After Seattle rallied for an overtime win against the Houston Texans on Sunday, Pete Carroll joked that halftime was the best thing that happened to his team.
The Seahawks shook off a terrible first half in which they trailed by 17 points to rally for the 23-20 victory to improve to 4-0 for the first time in franchise history.
''They handed it to us every...
If you’re anything like me, you can’t stand the FOX play-by-play duo of Chris Myers and Tim Ryan. I have been watching the highlights of the Seahawks-Texans game from this week and Chris Myers saying “He’s got followers, and not just on Twitter!” absolutely ruined Richard Sherman’s incredible interception which he returned for the game-tying touchdown.
Luckily for those...
What a game!
The Seattle Seahawks clashed with the Houston Texans Sunday in a clash of the #1 and #2 defenses in the NFL. It lived up to the billing despite the way it looked during the first half.
The teams battled into overtime where the Seahawks came out victorious, with a 23-20 victory with a little over 3 minutes left in overtime.
Each time the Seahawks win, I get to hand out...
How concerned are the Houston Texans about their 2-2 start to the 2013 season? Concerned enough for Arian Foster to call a players-only meeting after the team’s most recent loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Houston lost in overtime on Sunday after Matt Schaub threw two interceptions, one of which came toward the end of the […]
