The Seattle Seahawks released newly acquired running back Allen Bradford and signed linebacker Heath Farwell on Wednesday.
The Bradford era came and went rather quickly. He was awarded to the Seahawks via a waiver claim from Tampa Bay last week, and played for coach Pete Carroll at USC.
But Carroll told reporters Wednesday that Bradford has been released. Farwell gives the Seahawks another linebacker in the wake of the Aaron Curry trade and a season-ending injury to Matt McCoy.
Farwell spent the previous six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, where he was a special teams standout. He was even named to the Pro Bowl in 2009.
