Seattle vs Chicago Betting? Headline: Seahawks on the Road Again to Take on the Mighty Tough Bears in Week 13 The Seattle Seahawks head out on the road for the second week in a row Sunday to take on a Chicago Bears team that is battered and bruised but is still considered among the elite in the NFC. Seattle let one slip away last week and will now need a win against the uber-tough Bears in order to stay in the NFC playoff picture. Seattle Seahawks (6-5) vs. Chicago Bears (8-3) Date/Time: Sunday, December 2, 1:00 PM ET Venue: Soldier Field Broadcast: FOX Seahawks vs. Bears Betting Lines from bovada Spread: Bears -4 (-110) Moneyline: Seahawks +175: Bears -205 Over/Under: 37 1/2 points The Hawks are just 1-5 on the road so far this season and will certainly be in tough at Soldier Field this week. The Seattle Seahawks have a real chance to do what was thought of as unthinkable a few weeks ago – to march into Soldier Field and defeat the juggernaut Bears. RB Matt Forte, WR/KR Devin Hester, CB Charles Tillman, LB Lance Briggs, LG Lance Louis, and RG Chris Spencer were all nicked up against the Vikings last week and all are questionable to play Sunday. Add in the fact that there will be a little desperation from the Hawks – they need a win to stay in the playoff hunt, and it is likely that we see the best of Seattle this weekend. Not the team that plodded along in Miami last week. The Hawks enter Week 13 with the 31st ranked passing game but they are certainly playing better than that ranking. Russell Wilson has been good as of late as has Sidney Rice and the big play man Golden Tate. The Hawks also own the league’s #8 running game – an aspect that was largely shut down last week in Florida and will be looking to bounce back. Seattle is good, not great on offense but that may be all that it takes if the defense does its job. Seattle’s defense has been terrific this season and there were looming suspensions to Corner Backs Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner, but now it looks like they’ll both play this week rather than miss the game due to a PED suspension. Seattle has the 3rd ranked pass defense in the NFL – a ranking that would certainly take a hit if the two starting corners are out, and they have the 12th ranked rush defense. This unit gives up just 16.82 points per game – good for third in the NFL. The Chicago Bears are 8-3 but they have their share of problems that Seattle could easily exploit. Injuries along a brutal offensive line, questions about two of their best defenders and the likelihood of Matt Forte sitting out make this a perfect time for the Hawks to pay visit. Jay Cutler has been abused this year and his offensive line is the clear weakness on the team. Chicago owns the worst passing game in the NFL- just 177.18 yards per game! Unbelievable. But they do have the 10th ranked running game. Thanks in large part to a defense that has done its share of scoring; the Bears are the eleventh highest scoring team in the NFL. Defensively, the Bears are almost a mirror image of the Seahawks and are the backbone to their team. Chicago is seventh against the pass and eighth versus the run and they are second in the NFL in points against (15.91) – right ahead of the Seattle Seahawks. The Bears will be missing key elements on both sides of the ball in all likelihood Sunday while the Hawks could reasonably be playing their last game with their two top corners. Desperation wins out over home field this week – the Hawks win a low scoring game and keep their playoff hopes alive.
