RENTON -- Seahawks wide receiver Ben Obmanu and linebacker David Hawthorne were both back at practice Friday and are expected to play in Sunday's regular-season finale at Arizona.Obomanu suffered a sprained knee in the second half of last week's game against San Francisco. He has been a starter since Mike Williams went on injured reserve with a broken bone in his left leg. He ran better Friday, according to coach Pete Carroll.Hawthorne has played through a sprained knee ligament throughout this season. The only players whose availability is in question for Seattle are defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove, who has a strained hamstring, and right tackle Breno Giacomini, who suffered a strained abdominal muscle that kept him out of practice Thursday. Giacomini returned to practice Friday, and is expected to be OK.

Carroll: The plan is to stick with Tarvaris Jackson

The Seahawks took a big gamble on Tarvaris Jackson as their starting quarterback after the lockout ended. We believe Jackson has met the expectations of the Seattle coaching staff, and probably exceeded the expectations of those outside the Seahawks building. The plan, for now, is to roll with Jackson again in 2012. “That’s where we are,”…

Skittles shoes cost Marshawn Lynch 10K

Marshawn Lynch’s love of Skittles paid off in the form of free candy earlier this season, but now it is costing him some cash. Lynch wore cleats with a Skittles pattern for last Sunday’s game against the 49ers, which likely made the candy makers very happy. It wasn’t as warmly received by the folks at…

</object Seattle Seahawks quarterback Tarvaris Jackson said that even though his team is no longer in the playoff hunt, there’s still plenty to play for against Arizona in the final game of the season on Sunday. “The record doesn’t show it because we’re a 7-8 team,” Jackson said. “But I feel like we’re a better team this year, and it...

Week 17: Seahawks at Cardinals (Game Thread)

While most of us are busy stumbling our way through National Hangover Day, the Seahawks will be in Phoenix to beat up the Cardinals. This game is almost a mirror match, although the Seahawks come out slightly ahead in the comparison: Both teams lost most of their games in the first half of the season (2-6 for Seattle, 1-7 for Arizona), then turned things around and won most of...

Morning links: Thomas all about business

Dave Boling of The News Tribune profiles Seahawks safety Earl Thomas after Tuesday’s announcement that he made the Pro Bowl as a starter at free safety. Thomas said while the interceptions numbers aren’t as much as last year, more film study and a commitment to playing sound defense has led to less big plays given up by Seattle’s defense. “We always know what...

No surprises for Seattle today. Both receiver Ben Obomanu (knee) and linebacker David Hawthorne (knee) practiced on Friday and are active for today’s game. But for Arizona, running back Beanie Wells is inactive with a knee issue. LaRod Stephens-Howling will start in his place.
