The Seattle Seahawks are one of the youngest and deepest teams in the NFL, meaning that this year’s Super Bowl championship doesn’t have to be the end of the road. This group has the nucleus of a legitimate contender for years to come. Although many of the key components are locked in through at least next season, there are several names that are either restricted or unrestricted free agents as Seattle heads into its first championship offseason. There are many roster decisions that Coach Pete Carroll and GM John Schneider have to face. For what it’s worth, here’s my take on how I would prioritize the list.  1.     DE Michael Bennett The defensive lineman took a gamble coming to Seattle for this season on a one-year deal and it paid off handsomely for both sides. He led the team in sacks and was an all-around terror as a pass rusher, providing constant pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Re-signing Bennett seems to be a foregone conclusion, the only question being how muc...

Russell Wilson the best of the young QB’s

The argument is over; Russell Wilson is the best of all the young QB’s.  The young QB’s being Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, Colin Kaepernick, and Cam Newton. This season proved that Russell Wilson is the best of them all. People like to discredit Wilson because of his great defense. While it’s no doubt that defense is Seattle’s signature, Wilson is what...

var ACE_AR = {Site: '898551', Size: '468060', CallType: 'IFRAME'}; Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson, defensive lineman Brandon Mebane and Red Bryant were guests on the ATL Podcast. Super Marioshawn: More Marshawn Lynch Super Mario Touchdowns!

Marshawn Lynch TD: Super Mario edition Pt. 1 from Jonathan Joseph Alvarez on Vimeo. Marshawn Lynch TD: Super Mario edition Pt. 2 from Jonathan Joseph Alvarez on Vimeo. These are both spectacular.  I really don’t think I will ever get tired of seeing real NFL plays, especially plays featuring the great Marshawn Lynch, set to the sounds of the Super Mario video games.  Thanks...

The man that saved our Seahawks

A lot of fans have been follwing the Seattle Seahawks since day one (1976), never missing out on a single game. I can’t claim to have been a fan that long, but there are plenty of you out there that can. However, how many of you can claim that your undying devotion to the team saved our beloved Seahawks in their darkest hour? In 1996, then-owner of the Seahawks, Ken Behring unceremoniously...

Seattle Seahawks sign more Wisconsin Badgers

It would appear that the Seattle Seahawks front office likes what it sees out of the Wisconsin Badger football program. With an already impressive list of Badger alums, including Russell Wilson, Chris Maragos, O’Brien Schofield, and offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, the Seahawks have added to it by signing tight end Travis Beckum and linebacker Mike Taylor. The Seattle Seahawks...

Strong schedule means rocky road for Seahawks in 2014

Repeating as Super bowl champions is never easy, but for the Seahawks in 2014 it may be even harder than usual. According to Terry Blount of ESPN, Seattle will have the sixth most difficult schedule in the NFL for the 2014 season, based on their opponents combined winning percentage from this last year: “Seattle has the sixth-toughest schedule in the NFL for 2014, along with the...

Should Seattle make a play for Knowshon Moreno?

The Denver Broncos may have some sore feelings over what happened to them at the Super bowl at the hands of the Seahawks. However, the NFL is a business and the best logic to operate by is if you can’t beat them, join them. When it comes to running backs, the Seahawks are luckier than most NFL teams. Marshawn Lynch may not be the very best in the league but he’s at least in the...

Ex-NFL Raheem Brock Says Players Won’t Shower With Michael Sam

This is one of those situations where I understand what they are saying, but I think it is just their insecurity and machismo talking. Athletes are showering with gay teammates currently even if they know it or not. But, Brock who is retired can speak more freely than active players had this to say to TMZ. NFL Star Raheem Brock — ‘Guys Won’t Go In the Shower If They Know a...

Michael Bennett: I Won’t Take Discount To Stay With Seahawks, ‘This Is Not Costco’

Michael Bennett took a one year $5 million deal from the Seattle Seahawks last off-season and his play this year will guarantee the cocky pass-rusher a nice payday. Bennett says he will sign with the team that wants him most when he hits free agency on March 11.  The Ravishing Rick Rude of NFL pass rushers also told the Seattle Times that he wouldn’t take a discounted off to...

Time to Give Pete Carroll the Respect He Deserves

The transition from college to NFL had not been done successfully since Jimmy Johnson in the late '80s. And there was no shortage of attempts.  From Butch Davis to Steve Spurrier to Nick Saban, there was a twenty-plus year run of coaches who enjoyed unprecedented success in college failing miserably in their opportunities in the NFL. So when Pete Carroll left USC to become...
