In today’s Roanoke Times, writer Chris Winston penned an article titled “Michael Vick invited to spring football game,” with a subhead that read “He will sign autographs Saturday morning at the Tech Bookstore on Main Street, with prices ranging from $25 to $30 each.”
Winston interviewed George Daniels, manager of Tech Bookstore, where Vick will be signing autographs. Winton wrote, “Daniels said the autograph charges ranging from $25 to $30 will go to Vick’s management company — not to the store.”
This caught a lot of people’s attention and some negative comments began appearing on Twitter and on the VTHokieFans.com Facebook page. Predictably, fans didn’t seem to appreciate that Vick and his management company were apparently going to make a profit on his autograph session at Tech Bookstore this Saturday before the spring game.
