Sharper works out for Broncos, does not sign

Veteran safety Darren Sharper was indeed at Dove Valley today working out for Broncos officials. But this was more of a check-up than an official tryout for the 35-year-old five-time Pro Bowler. After a stellar 2009 season for the Saints, Sharper had microfracture surgery on his knee before the 2010 season and played sparingly last year. The Broncos are set at safety right now, but wanted to check in on Sharper’s health now, just in case. Sharper played for current Broncos defensive coordinator Dennis Allen in New Orleans.
