As you probably know the Texans Girls are our favorite cheering squad in the NFL.   And it’s for good reason.   I don’t want to skimp on the Dolphins or Buccaneers girls here but come on.  It’s just better in Texas ain’t it?  Who the hell knows how their season will turn out (probably better than the Cowboys) but one thing’s for certain.  The cheerleaders are going to turn some heads.

Check out some of these pre season pics after the jump….

Kubiak looks ahead to Manning, Broncos

The Houston Texans have made it look easy so far, opening with two 20-point victories. The Texans (2-0) will get a more intriguing test this week, when they face old nemesis Peyton Manning in Denver. It's also a homecoming of sorts for Houston coach Gary Kubiak, who backed up John Elway with the Broncos from 1983-91 and later worked on Denver's staff under Mike Shanahan...

Watt better than expected so far this season

HOUSTON You expected the Houston Texans team that lost to the Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs would come back better this season. Matt Schaub would be the quarterback instead of T.J. Yates. Andre Johnson would be fully healthy. Instead of Jacoby Jones the Texans would have someone who was less of a knucklehead. Mario Williams didn't play in the game anyway. So, yes, the Texans...

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly: Jaguars Edition

The Houston Texans invaded Everbank Field to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in their first matchup of the season. The Texans started the game on offense and started with a vanilla passing game.  They moved the ball, but not effectively enough to score a touchdown as it led to a field goal. The Texans’ defense came out firing on all cylinders as the Bulls on Parade forced an...

The Rundown: Jaguars Edition

It is hard to imagine that things on the football field could have gone any better for the Houston Texans against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Texans pretty much played a solid game, except for the three plays that led to the Jaguars only score of the day. There were plenty of questions to be answered from week one and it showed on Sunday with the Texans focused for all four...

Texans' Ground Attack Plows Through Jaguars

The Texans got Ben Tate more involved in Week 2 but that didn't mean Arian Foster was going to be utilized less. Foster carried the ball 28 times for 110 yards and a touchdown Sunday against Jacksonville.Fantasy Spin:Foster also caught six passes for 37 yards. The running back is the epicenter of Houston's run-first offense and should continue to be among the best players...

Texans use Foster, Tate to run past Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars game-planned to take Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson out of the equation. But that left a lot of other opportunities and running backs Arian Foster and Ben Tate made the most of them. The Texans built a 17-0 halftime lead, with Foster and Tate each scoring a touchdown, and went on to beat the Jaguars 27-7 Sunday in front...

Texans 27, Jaguars 7

The Houston Texans didn't need a barrage of turnovers to get rolling this week. Arian Foster ran for 110 yards and a touchdown, Ben Tate added 74 yards and two scores and the Texans dominated from the opening kickoff in a 27-7 win at Jacksonville on Sunday. The Texans improved to 2-0 for the third consecutive season by winning their fourth in a row against the AFC South rival...

Houston Texans take down Jacksonville Jaguars 27-7 behind defense, run game

For the second week in a row, the Houston Texans won in convincing manner as they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-7 in Jacksonville. Unlike week one however, the Texans dominated from the start and left no doubt as to their superiority over their AFC South rival.  The big stories from week two for the Texans was the reemergence of their rushing attack and their record setting...

Week 2 Fantasy Football Recap: Texans vs. Jaguars

Houston Texans – 27, Jacksonville Jaguars – 7This game mostly played out exactly as most fantasy prognosticators predicted, which meant lots of running for the Texans, and not much Matt Schaub (192 total yards) passing.  Because the Texans are now a run first and good defense type of team, it’s hard to count on Schaub as anything more than a backup fantasy QB.Hopefully you...

Gabbert, Jaguars picked apart by Texans

And now a word from the 5-1 ATS road dogs…

You never making a living betting against home dogs in the NFL and this week proved that. It’s very tempting to take road favorites due to low spreads, but the road dogs dominated this week going 5-1 straight up and against the spread. The Texans were the only road dog to come out with a win and the cover. Texans @ Jaguars +7 — Texans win 27-7 Vikings @ Colts +2.5 — Colts...
