Found October 24, 2012 on The Penalty Flag:
Without a doubt the Philadelphia Eagles are the most desperate 3-3 team the NFL has seen in recent memory.  From QB turnovers to coaching turmoil, this Eagles team seems to be one bad outing away from a serious shakeup that could include the firing of head coach Andy Reid and or benching of quarterback Michael Vick.  It’s a volatile situation that has clearly fallen on the shoulders of Coach Reid and Vick.  Vick needs to play better or Reid will be forced to bench him in favor of rookie Nick Foles.  The problem with such a move is that when Foles struggles, as most rookie QBs do, Reid will face the dilemma of which quarterback gives the Eagles the best chance to win and run the risk of a dividing the locker room.  On Monday, Vick didn’t seem too concerned about losing his starting job.… Read more

Full page ad in USA Today criticizes Michael Vick, Humane Society

Ballertainment Michael Vick and The Humane Society of the United States attacked in national media outlet. The more things change, the more they stay the same. While Michael Vick is struggling on the field, an organization named HumaneWatch has gone to great lengths to criticize the NFL QB for now owning a dog, and the Humane Society for supporting Vick’s decision to do so. 10 Reasons to Remain Optimistic About the Philadelphia Eagles’ 2012 Season

Photo: Daily News via Philly.comThe Philadelphia Eagles are 3-3 and in the midst of their bye week.  Michael Vick can’t stop turning the ball over.  The offensive line has been brutal.  The offense in general can’t score points.  Reid and Mornhinweg can’t or won’t adjust their play-calling to overcome and/or reduce the offense’s shortcomings. The defense has collapsed...

Eagles DE: Castillo didn't change

Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham indicated that the team firing coach Juan Castillo was a necessary move based on some of his in-game coaching strategies.

2012 NFL Week 8 Picks

This week is going to be, to put it mildly, interesting. The Eagles are coming off a bye week in which Andy Reid replaced his DC and there are widespread rumors of problems in the entire front office. The Falcons, also coming off a bye, are the only remaining undefeated team. Andy Reid has never lost the game the week after the bye, including the infamously disastrous 2005 season...

Is the Falcons’ Offense Finally ”Madden” Worthy Again?

Like a lot of NFL fans, I am a big fan of the Madden NFL video game franchise. I recently let go of my copy of Madden 2004 that I had stubbornly held onto for eight years. Falcons fans everywhere remember the significance of that edition of Madden: Michael Vick was on the cover and he was wearing a Falcons jersey. Remember how good that felt? Everyone had to give the Falcons respect...

Brandon Graham issues harsh critique of Juan Castillo, shows confidence in Todd Bowles

Linebacker Casey Matthews hinted at what he thought of Juan Castillo’s coaching when he summed up the first meeting of the Philadelphia Eagle defense in the Todd Bowles era on Monday: “We’re not going to be predictable anymore.” Brandon Graham took those comments further on Wednesday by blaming Castillo for the Eagles defensive woes in the games of which he presided. Graham...

Shifts along the o-line for the Philadelphia Eagles with King Dunlap back at starting LT

Since the firing of former Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Juan Castillo last week, we’ve been waiting for the corresponding shoe to drop on offense. After head coach Andy Reid’s pronouncement that Mike Vick would remain his starting quarterback and that Marty Morhinweg would continue to call plays on offense, we knew that no sizable change were coming on that side...

Week 8 NFL Picks: TSHQ Style

The first half of the season is coming to an end, and a few key points have become abundantly clear: NFC East Mike Vick is done. Tom Caughlin hates fumblers. Jerry Jones is the next Al Davis (in the bad way). RG3 will have the shortest, most exciting NFL career. NFC South Atlanta is finally good. For real. Cam Newton isn’t the next RG3. Having a coach is kind of important. Tampa...
