PLAYERS: Troy AikmanTony Romo
TEAMS: Dallas Cowboys
Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman has come out and said that he believes the Cowboys should draft a quarterback this year.  He doesn’t believe they should replace Tony Romo, but to have someone to develop for down the road. With Romo turning 33 years-old in April,  I think the Cowboys have bigger issues to take care of.  They need to add more depth up and down their roster and the draft is the place to do that. Let’s be honest, as bad as Romo has been in clutch situations, he still puts up great numbers and even a quarterback of his caliber isn’t easy to find. What do you think?  Should the Cowboys draft a quarterback? Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = ''+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })();
  • Replace Romo now. Start building now with new QB. Drop Garrett.
  • Romo is a good QB but he is getting older and now would be a good time to look into getting his replacement
  • Who cares... JJ will be drafting the players so it doesn't really matter. I thought that Steven McGee was going to be the quarterback of the future. He never hit the field. Another wasted draft pick. Deju veu all over again. JJ has jacked up things so bad that the future of the Cowboys will never recover. Once again, who cares. This turd is a huge joke and EVERYONE knows what/who the problem is. Well, almost everyone. JJ still thinks he is a stud personnel evaluator and he is going to do the same things that Johnson did. Jerry, keep being delusional and I will have the nurse come by with your baby food after your sponge bath.
  • No - they need to draft a new owner and general manager. Until that change takes place, it's all pointless.....

Time to look for Romo's successor?

While he says he's a fan of Tony Romo, former Cowboys quarterback great Troy Aikman believes it's time for Dallas to start looking for his successor.

Jerry Jones continues his delusion, stands behind Garrett

Jerry Jones started down the right track after the Dallas Cowboys missed the playoffs for the third consecutive year. He questioned everything, including the coaching. The only thing he was sure of was Tony Romo, because when you look out into the NFL horizon this year, there isn’t much better. Now, he’s changing his tune and showing complete confidence in the puppet he created...

Troy Aikman has been a loyal Tony Romo supporter for several years. The Hall of Fame quarterback and current FOX NFL analyst is rarely critical of the current Dallas Cowboys signal caller and says Romo is still the right guy for the franchise. Troy Aikman: Cowboys Should Look For Tony Romo’s Heir Now

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has often been compared to Brett Favre because of his high risk, high reward style of play.  Now, ex-Cowboys great Troy Aikman is adding another link between Romo and Favre.  According to Aikman, it’s time for Dallas to mimic the draft strategy that the Green Bay Packers used during much of Favre’s career. “I like the way the Packers...
