Whether he plays another down in the NFL or not, Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts is without a doubt a first ballot Hall of Famer.  His impressive 399 touchdowns, 54,828 passing yards, four league MVP’s and 94.9 career passer rating makes him a shoe in.  Given those stats it would be absurd to come out and say that the younger of the Manning brothers, Eli, is better than Peyton, right?  After all, in what amounts to seven and a half seasons Eli has accumulated 185 touchdowns, 27,579 passing yards, no league MVP awards, and a career passer rating of 82.1.  On Eli’s current pace he will not catch Peyton by his 14th season so hands down, Peyton is better right?
