In the second round of this years NFL draft the Cowboys selected former North Carolina linebacker Bruce Carter who played outside linebacker at Carolina and will likely move to the inside to adapt to the Cowboys 3-4 scheme and back up second year player Sean Lee at inside linebacker. As of right now Lee is penciled in as the starter for one of the Cowboys inside linebacker positions.

The spot Lee will be filling is the one that fourteen year veteran Keith Brooking has held for the past two seasons. Carter will have to work on getting back up to speed since he tore his ACL back in November and will have to work hard to get ready for training camp. But right now with two young inside linebackers on the Cowboys depth chart, things are not looking good for Brooking’s future in Dallas.
