Fox Sports Southwest:
What do you get the man who has everything?
One Cowboys player found just the right thing to pull on the heartstrings of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
During an interview on 105.3 FM in Dallas on Friday morning, Jones revealed that sometimes, something genuine and from the heart is better than any lavish gift.
"We had one of our players, neatest thing I've ever seen, basically write a handwritten note to over 300 people in our organization, including all of his teammates, and said, 'Santa's a little tight this year. You know the times that we're in,'" Jones said, via The Dallas Morning News. "He personally wrote a little something himself and put a dollar bill in there and says, 'Hope this will do you. Merry Christmas."
Jones did not reveal the name of the player.
Considering the league minimum for rookies in 2011 is 375,000 and 450,000 for second year players (with substantial increases with the more years a player has been in the league), this players definition of "things are tight" might be a bit different from you or me, but at least the gesture caught the eye of Jones.
And maybe he can put that dollar towards finding another running back if Felix Jones can't play on Saturday.

Felix Jones active
ARLINGTON – Felix Jones is active, but whether the tailback actually plays against the Eagles on Saturday afternoon depends on the outcome of the Giants-Jets game.
If the Giants win, the Cowboys will be playing a meaningless game and won’t be able to clinch the NFC East until they play at the Giants on New Year’s Day.
So if the Giants win, there’s a strong...

Felix Jones’ status may depend on Giants game
We’ve told you previously that the importance of the Cowboys-Eagles game rests largely with what happens between the Jets and Giants at 1 p.m. ET. If the Giants win early, the Cowboys and Eagles both have much less to play for. Dallas may approach the game accordingly. Matt Mosley of Fox Sports Southwest reports that…

With Romo injured, McGee and Cowboys flop
Tony Romo and Felix Jones exited early and the Cowboys played like there was nothing on the line Saturday against the visiting Philadelphia Eagles. With Stephen McGee filling in under center, the Cowboys were dominated 20-7.
Here are my thoughts on a loss that drops the Cowboys to 8-7 with one game remaining.
1.) Romo injured his throwing hand on Dallas' first possession and...
Eagles' Samuel out, Dallas' Jones active (AP)
Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel and Cowboys kick returner and backup receiver Kevin Ogletree are among the inactives for the Dallas-Philadelphia game Saturday. Samuel aggravated a hamstring injury earlier in the week and wasn't expected to play. The Cowboys weren't sure whether they'd have running back Felix Jones, and defensive stars DeMarcus Ware and Jay Ratliff.
