Today, Patriots Tackle Nate Solder was added to the injury report.  According to the Patriots, the first year player hit his head during a walk-through practice this morning. Solder is now listed as questionable to play tomorrow night. Since this is Belichick, it’s hard to know what to think about this … if anything at all.  Belichick treats the injury report as a method for tactical advantage … so it’s anybody’s guess. Of course, it’s hard to know what this means, but with Sebastian Vollmer back and playing the Tackle spot, Solder has been relegated to second/third Tight End and swing tackle work — so this news would probably have mattered more four weeks ago. For the Jets, I’m sure this will be something that they’ll have to consider, but if it does anything to limit the Patriots from using their max protect or goal line fronts, then all the better.  My thought is that Solder ends up playing – though still as a backup – all the same.
