New York Giants
Over the course of the season, the numbers we will be passing along will make more sense because they will be compared to earlier games. So far, the TE, QB, DE and LB evaluations have come through and we can share some "early returns."
Remember the grading?
+2 for a tremendous play
+1 for a good play
0 for doing your job
-1 for a poor play
-2 for a very bad play
Getting a slew of 0's is very respectable. Especially for younger players. Remember what Michael Strahan said: before the Super Bowl, the players were told to do your job every play and the ordinary will be extraordinary. Make tackles. Make blocks. Hold onto the ball. Catch the ball before you run with it. Do your job. With that said, here are some early player TOTALS for the game vs Dallas:

The two-time Pro Bowler and the New York Giants defensive captain is upset how the defending Super Bowl champions opened the season against the Dallas Cowboys last week.

Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz are the starters for the New York Giants, but history has shown that the Giants like to change wide receivers almost every year. Since Plaxico Burress’s gun incident, the New York Giants have been trying to find the perfect tandem for Eli Manning, but every year a wide receiver comes and then they go.
Other than being one of the most decorated coaches in the NFL, New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin is widely regarded as being one of the most stand-up individuals around the league. Today, the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund announced that it will be holding the eighth annual Champions for Children Gala at Cipriani (110 East 42nd street between Lexington and Park Ave.) in Manhattan...
Eli Manning had a poor week 1 in the opening game against the Cowboys. Throwing for 213 yards and 1 touchdown, look for Eli to improve as the year progresses. As we have seen from previous seasons, he tends to start slow and then gets hot the second half of the season.
Victor Cruz captured the hearts of many NFL fans with his electric, record-breaking play, entertaining touchdown celebrations and his genuine, humble demeanor on and off the field as a member of the Super Bowl-winning New York Giants last season. But just as quickly as this star was born, it could burn out all the same if he continues to play at a level so unpleasantly displayed...
Each week we'll be offering some insights and conclusions based on what we saw in the All-22 tape. We'll share some general observations, analysis of key plays (both good and bad) and a look ahead to what the opposing unit has in the week ahead. With that, let's get out our Jump to Conclusions Mat.

With Week 1 complete other than the MNF double-header, odds are that your league mates are rushing to the Waiver Wire looking for the next Victor Cruz. If your league is full of irrational Giants fans, then the real Victor Cruz might be on that Waiver Wire after his 3-drop performance last Wednesday. Some of the pickups you make this week could lead you to the fantasy playoffs, and...

Some are interesting options, while some may hit a nerve with fans. Could you imagine Eli Manning, Victor Cruz or Jason Pierre-Paul wearing something like this? The amount of data crunching has been very large. We have not completed and compiled all of the grades from all of the positions yet.
While we are awaiting all of the returns from our staff, we coded every single play for many characteristics. As an example, we tracked different types of pass plays, and slants jumped out at us for their success quantitatively- these small ball...
The New York Giants have had plenty of extra time to think about their lackluster effort in their opener. Justin Tuck can't even get it off his mind at night.
The defensive end has lost sleep over New York's ugly loss, and he and his teammates are eager to begin moving past it as they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
The Giants began the defense of their Super Bowl...
