Jim Sorgi, the Giants’ backup QB, is a at crossroads.  His throwing shoulder is still hurting with opening day just two weeks away. Will the Giants wait the injury out, or will they place him on IR, ending his season.  Sorgi is hopeful the former of those two is the his outcome.  The other alternative – getting released – is another reality Sorgi may have to face. Q: Chad Pennington had this same injury and was done for the year in September. What makes yours different? A: I don’t know exactly what his was. I don’t know if his came out or what not.
