Special-teams ace Matt McCoy will re-sign with Seahawks

Linebacker Matt McCoy will re-sign with the Seahawks, his agent confirmed. It is a one-year deal that can be signed on Friday.McCoy's return is a boost to a special-teams group that took some hits Wednesday with the departures of K Olindo Mare to Carolina and LB Will Heller to New Orleans.McCoy, 28, will be entering his seventh season in the league. He came to Seattle last year, and established himself as a core member of a special-teams unit that was the undisputed strength of Seattle's team. He had 17 tackles in 14 games.
