TEAMS: Buffalo Bills
New-york-jets-new-england
Linebacker Brandon Spikes, one of the Buffalo Bills' latest additions in the offseason, it bringing with him a lot of verbal fire that fans are hoping will translate to actual on-field performance and erase their longistanding playoff drought. "I think we're gonna shock the world this season," Spikes said Monday, via Twitter. "I'm all in." Per NFL.com's Marc Sessler: 'Buffalo's front seven arguably is a top-five unit coming off a campaign that saw the Bills set a franchise mark with 57 sacks. If new coordinator Jim Schwartz can reproduce Mike Pettine's handiwork, Buffalo's pass rush looms as one of the most exciting in football. On offense, the backfield remains one of the deepest in the league, while Buffalo's revamped receiving corps has the tools to win matchups behind the trio of Sammy Watkins, Mike Williams and Robert Woods.'

Snubbed? Buffalo Bills K Dan Carpenter not named top-10 in NFL

Typically speaking, sports fans tend to worry about two things – the past and the future. They’ll debate who was the greatest player of all-time, while also spending hours discussing whether or not a rookie is going to be develop into an All-Pro. Both are fun exercises, things that keep fans engaged and the beer flowing at the local tavern. But they miss out on what is most important...

Power Rankings: Buffalo Bills receiving corps in bottom half of NFL

The NFL is becoming more and more of a passing league; statistics bear this theory out, as numbers continue to rise for quarterbacks and receivers, while dropping for running backs. Thus, it’s becoming increasingly important to have skill position players who can excel in this brand of football. Obviously, the quarterback is the most vital person on the roster. Without one, a team...

Buffalo Madden 16 cover boy is…

So Richard Sherman is the Madden cover boy for 2015. Congrats Seattle, that just cursed both your defense and your repeat hopes this year. That aside, Buffalo has drafted well the past three years, have signed some key and critical free agents and everyone in Western New York believes the Bills are poised for a break-out year. To that end, if Buffalo makes the playoffs, then we just...

Are any Buffalo Bills among the best MVP value bets for 2014?

Last week, the latest odds to win the Most Valuable Player award for the 2014 NFL season were released, with some of the usual suspects atop the list. But just because the wise guys in Vegas tend to know what they’re doing, that doesn’t necessarily mean all bets are created equal; in fact, many of them are nothing more than sucker bets, designed to get fans to lay down money...

Buffalo Bills: Why to watch Cyril Richardson

The Baylor Bears have made a name for themselves as one of the premier offenses in football as a result of athletes like Robert Griffin III and Lache Seastrunk putting up crazy numbers. While those two guys had plenty of talent on their own, they could not have racked up those some stats on their talent alone – they needed help on the offensive line. Cyril Richardson was a force...

Brandon Spikes: Bills ‘gonna shock the world’ this year

Permanently stationed at or near the bottom of the AFC East, the Buffalo Bills own the NFL's longest playoff drought -- 15 years and counting. That's about to change. So says Brandon Spikes, anyway. "I think we're gonna shock the world this season ... I'm all in," Spikes told reporters on Monday. Defecting from the rival Patriots, the veteran linebacker...

Grading the Draft: Buffalo Bills edition

Sports Ruckus writer Justin Walters has graded the entire AFC East, and while some Bills fans might not like his grading, he has some very valid points.  Let’s see what the Bills finished with. Buffalo knew what player they wanted and pushed all of their Bills to the middle of the table and took a big gamble. Guess […] The post Grading the Draft: Buffalo Bills edition appeared...

Monica Seles could own the Bills, eventually

The tennis player best known for being stabbed during a match by a fan of Steffi Graf and fictitiously taken out by an overzealous ball man could end up owning the Buffalo Bills, in time. Via the New York Daily News, Monica Seles is engaged to Thomas Golisano, who has emerged as one of the leading candidates to purchase the franchise from the family of the late Ralph Wilson.

Bills' Dareus applies for intervention program

Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus has applied to enter a pre-trial intervention program in Alabama following his arrest last month on felony drug charges. Dareus' attorney, George R. Giddens, said it could take at least six months before his client receives a response from the state. The pre-trial intervention program, which Giddens said is common in cases of marijuana...

Brandon Spikes feels the Buffalo Bills will “Shock The World” this year

The Buffalo Bills have not made the playoffs in a very long time, a matter of fact it has been 14 straight seasons.  The longest active streak in the NFL. During that time frame Bill Clinton was the President and gas prices were $2.99 a gallon.  That is a long time, but newcomer Brandon Spikes, […] The post Brandon Spikes feels the Buffalo Bills will “Shock The World” this...

Why you can’t blame… the Bills for NOT putting Lou Saban on the Wall of Fame

We did these pieces a while back for the site where we take some sort of sad excuse for a hot topic or a #becauseitsbuffalo moment and check out the other side of the argument. It is pretty much based on that old ESPN Show, but with a Buffalo twist. Let me go on record saying I do think Saban belongs on the Wall of Fame. The interesting thing about Saban NOT being on the WOF is...

BY DAN BEGNOCHEThere's been much talk at One Bills Drive surrounding the offseason acquisition of linebacker Brandon Spikes and the contributions he'll be making in the team's defensive scheme. From his run-stopping ability to quarterbacking the defense for coordinator Jim Schwartz, the 26-year-old will be relied upon heavily to lead Buffalo's unit and set a solid...

Second Take With @BradleyGelber – Marrone Mayhem

Man, Marcell Dareus can’t do anything right. As Bills fans are aware by now big number 99 was taken into custody last week for of all things drag racing. Pardon the brief digression, but when I think of dudes drag racing I don’t typically picture some guy who is 6’3’’ 330 lbs. I picture little guys like Paul Walker (RIP) or Tyrese Gibson, not massive NFL DT’s. But maybe...
