Who are the most overrated and underrated players on the Rams roster? That depends on who you ask.  However, there are two players that stand out in my mind based on their statistics. It was hard to pick two players considering that the Rams have hired Jeff Fisher and a whole new coaching staff. The future is looking good for St. Louis but I'm basing the list based on the past. It was hard to not pick a wide receiver as the most underrated, but it would be impossible to pick one without picking nearly all the rest.  Most Overrated Rodger Saffold, Left Tackle What, you thought I was going to say Sam Bradford? Bradford had a great rookie year and was even the offensive rookie of the year. He didn't have a good season in 2011 but it wasn't his fault. There were many issues with the offensive line last season. It's also fair to mention that he didn't even have a quarterback coach last season. It's just too soon to consider Sam Bradford underrated. Sam Bradford...

Robert Quinn continuing to impress Rams

Robert Quinn was a 1st round pick of the St. Louis Rams in the 2011 NFL Draft and he was viewed as such a steal at 14 that the Rams took him even though they didn’t have an immediate need at the position. Quinn played in a situational role last season as a rookie, with 6 sacks, 9 quarterback hits, and 21 quarterback pressures, though he graded out negatively against the run on...

Mulligan hopes to make lasting impression

ST. LOUIS You ask Lance Kendricks about the new guy in town. You want to know more about the arrival's impact. You want to know what he means for the St. Louis Rams' depth at tight end, what he'll do on Sundays to make memories. You want to know what makes him tick. You ask Kendricks about Matthew Mulligan the former New York Jets tight end who signed as a free agent...

Did the Rams hit with Quick?

By: X   Of course it’s too early to make any definitive claims about which receiver will ultimately become the best of the 2012 draft class, but that won’t stop

Schottenheimer tackles Rams' offensive woes

ST. LOUIS Brian Schottenheimer was hired to heal. The new St. Louis Rams offensive coordinator will be asked to do many things to repair one of the NFLs worst units last season, but mainly, his job is to make his franchises greatest weakness become a strength. With that task, hes eager to revive his career in the Gateway City. Its shown in moments like Thursday afternoon, when...

Rams could call defense by committee all year

ST. LOUIS (AP) Nearly three months since the St. Louis Rams lost their defensive coordinator, coach Jeff Fisher appears to be in no hurry to define roles among the handful of people capable of filling the void. Fisher believes if the game plan is sound, it doesn't matter who makes the calls. "The most difficult part of the week is putting the plan together," Fisher...

Bulked up Saffold is ready to protect Sam Bradford

A bulked up and healthy Rodger Saffold can only help Sam Bradford in 2012. - (Photo credit: Wikipedia) St. Louis Rams left tackle Rodger Saffold had a disappointing season in 2011.  Even before his season was cut short by a torn pectoral muscle, Saffold did not seem to improve upon what was an impressive rookie season and was part of possibly one of the worst offensive lines in...

Rams sign Rocky McIntosh

The Rams have signed free agent outside linebacker Rocky McIntosh. It’s June so there are not a lot of impact signings, if any, but this move might have any impact for the Rams. McIntosh was only still available on the market this long because he struggled in Washington’s 3-4 over the last 2 seasons, losing his starting job to Perry Riley in the middle of last season. However...
