Donte Stallworth who played last season with the New England Patriots and is now a free agent was injured along with his girlfriend on Saturday in South Florida.
He is in stable condition in a Florida hospital after being burnt when the hot air balloon he was riding in made contact with some power lines during the flight. Stallworth’s girlfriend who wasn’t identified was also injured in the accident. The balloon’s pilot was able to escape unharmed and was able to land the balloon and call for EMS personal to treat Stallworth and the woman.
Stallworth, who has had two stints with New England, was in training camp in 2012 with the team but was cut and returned for one game before breaking his ankle while scoring a TD against Houston on December 10th.
