This year has been a transition year for the Steelers; figuring out just what exactly is “Steelers Football” has been tough to say the least, but Jonathan Dwyer and the offensive line are trying to clear things up. On a day where the division rival Ravens were on a bye, the Steelers seized the opportunity to gain ground in the AFC North and Dwyer was a big part of that. For the...
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin met the media on Tuesday for his weekly press conference to talk about the upcoming game against the New York Giants, injuries, and more.
Below are the talking points from what Tomlin had to say along with the audio.
Tomlin called the performance against the Washington Redskins the most complete one so far this season, but obviously it...
With their 27-12 win Sunday over the Washington Redskins, the Pittsburgh Steelers have now put together back-to-back wins for the first time this season and part of that credit goes to rookie tackle Mike Adams and third-year running back Jonathan Dwyer.
Both Adams and Dwyer started for a second week in a row on Sunday and both played well above the line. Adamsdid not allow a sack...

Jonathan Dwyer walked into the Pittsburgh Steelers locker room a few hours before taking on the Eagles earlier this month, saw his name in black on the white message board and shrugged his shoulders.
The third-year running back expected there to be fallout over his costly fourth-quarter fumble a few days earlier in a loss to Oakland. While Dwyer hoped he'd get a chance to immediately...
The Pittsburgh Steelers have a long tradition of trotting out workhorse lead running backs who lead them to the Super Bowl. From the days of Franco Harris, Jerome Bettis, Willie Parker and countless others, the Steelers have enjoyed great success on the ground.
They though that had found it again with Rashard Mendenhall, although his season ending injury last year may have opened...
Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark was ruled out after taking a hard hit in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins. Clark sustained a concussion, according to NFL.com. The Steelers led 27-9 at the end of the third quarter.
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin laid down the law this past week to his special team units when he said that he would take action against players that committed egregious penalties. Unfortunately that message wasn't loud enough as the Steelers almost let the Washington Redskins back into the game Sunday when a retuned punt for a touchdown by Antonio Brown was called...
Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall has been cleared and can start participating individual drills. It’s a step in the right direction for the Steelers as last weeks starter Jonathan Dwyer was held out of practice on Tuesday and could return Thursday as he nurses a quad strain, per Ed Douchette.
At this point, it’s unknown if Mendenhall will be able to play Sunday as he...
This injury doesn't seem to be anything to worry about. Dwyer is coming off back-to-back 100 yard games and he's looked very strong. He downplayed the quad injury after it was mentioned by Steelers HC Mike Tomlin. Dwyer indicated that it won't hold him back.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a big emotional win over the Cincinnati Bengals. That win might have been expected, because the season was virtually over if they lost, but it still meant a lot. The Steelers got some confidence back with that win. They also looked into the mirror and for the first time this season they liked what they...
