We are only a few days away from training camp!!!!!!!  So exciting!!!!  I can’t believe the season is right around the corner.  All the guys are gearing up and it’s great to see.  Myself and The Show will be making a trip to training camp this year on August 2nd so keep your eyes out for Bleedblackandgold.com shirts and come say hi!  I have some gems though in this week’s round up.  I’m very excited for it:

  • First up, Ben Roethlisberger’s official Facebook page posted his middle school photo.  Amazing.  I didn’t really think it even looks like him.  What do you think?  Oh and please check out his t-shirt, I feel like he stole that from Zack Morris.

  • I loved this Facebook post by LaMarr Woodley too.

Im gonna be attending peyton manning’s welcome back party, and yall know i wouldnt be rude and 4get 2 bring a gift!!! how bout i bring this?? lol

  • Forbes Magazine came out with their top 50 most valuable franchises and the Steelers landed at #21 on the list.  They are the 13th ranked NFL Franchise though.  That actually kind of surprised me a little bit.
  • Maurkice Pouncey is counting down the days until training camp on Twitter.  So, just in case you didn’t know, here’s where we were yesterday:

6 days!!!!! If you can’t wait Rt #SteelerNation#GohardorQuit#BMS

  • Ryan Clark is also getting ready.  All the tweets about training camp is just getting me even more excited!

I will be so happy when week 1 is over and I can start preparing to play a regular season game. Then I won’t have to answer Denver questions

  • Brett Keisel is glad to have Max Starks back on the field this year after he signed a one year deal earlier this week.

“@steelers: Welcome back to the Black & Gold,@maxstarks78”My man Max is back!Congratulations!!

  • Steelers.com has been running a cool series the last coupe of weeks called “Ask the Steelers” and it features a different player each day.  They talk to players like Cameron Heyward, Ryan Clark, Baron Batch, Antonio Brown, Ziggy Hood, etc.
  • Anyone that’s planning to go to training camp this year, you can find the schedule here.
  • Great article on the Tribune Review about the struggles that the rookie lineman, Adams and DeCastro, will face at camp.
  • Quote of the week goes to former Steelers linebacker Joey Porter who is looking to retire this year as a Steelers:

“It’ll be an honor to go out there and retire as a Steeler. Started there, end there. Thirteen years. I never thought I’d play that long when I first started…”

  • They had a premiere of The Dark Knight Rises in Pittsburgh on Tuesday and some of the Steelers attended that.  In honor of the movie opening today featuring Pittsburgh, some Steelers and former coach Bill Cowher, it seemed fitting to take a look at this news video from when they were filming.
