Found October 14, 2012 on Steelers Depot:
The Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Tennessee Titans 26-23 Thursday night and below are my first half notes from the game with the second half notes to follow soon. On the first offensive snap, Nate Washington runs away from Keenan Lewis on a crossing pattern off of play-action. On second down Ike Taylor has good inside position on Kenny Britt and he runs him into the sideline. What many did not see on the play is that Brett Keisel had a hit on Matt Hasselbeck, which may of rushed the throw. The next completion to Britt is a great back shoulder throw by Hasselbeck and it is hard to fault Taylor Read more [...]

Looking Closer At The Steelers Decision To Release Weslye Saunders

I was surprised Friday when it was announced that second-year tight end Weslye Saunders was released and that move has left many, including myself, wondering what the reasoning was behind the decision. It has been suggested by a few that the play of veteran tight end Leonard Pope, specifically one block, in the Steelers 26-23 loss to the Tennessee Titans Thursday night resulted...

Steelers Lack Of Discipline Now Shows Up Off The Field With Arrest Of Ta’amu Sunday Morning

On the field this season the Pittsburgh Steelers have been an undisciplined team and it appears that one member of their 2012 rookie class is undisciplined off the field as well as fourth round draft pick Alameda Ta'aum was arrested by the Pittsburgh police early Sunday morning and charged with several felonies. The Washington product reportedly hit four cars while driving the...

Wacky State Of The AFC Sets Stage For Crucial Steelers Bengals Game

The Pittsburgh Steelers take their 2-3 record to Cincinnati next Sunday night to face a Bengals team that dropped their third game of the season Sunday to the Cleveland Browns. The loss just so happened to be the Bengals second in the division as they lost to the Baltimore Ravens back in week 1. While the Steelers have played one less game than the Bengals, the Sunday night tilt...

Steelers RB Mendenhall has minor Achilles tendon injury

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall sustained an Achilles tendon injury during Thursday night's loss against the Tennessee Titans, but the injury is minor, reported. Mendenhall left the game and was replaced by Baron Batch, who ran for 22 yards on 10 carries with a touchdown. Pittsburgh was down to its third-string running back because backup Isaac Redman...

Troy Polamalu Unlikely To Play Week 7

Jason La Canfora doesn't believe that SS Troy Polamalu will play in Week 7.Fantasy Spin:Polamalu left Week 5's game after aggravating his calf injury and missed the team's 26-23 upset loss to Tennessee. The Pittsburgh defense historically plays a lot better with him in the lineup and are set to face division rival Cincinnati this Sunday night.

Pittsburgh Steelers Need To Shift Their Focus Back Onto The Field

Rashard Mendenhall is back at his old Twitter nonsense. This time he is calling out Steeler Nation for not supporting this team.“Seriously, if you’re gonna talk trash about your team and everyone on it, don’t call yourself a fan. A fan is a supporter.” – Rashard Mendenhall (@R_Mendenhall on Twitter)Is it really talking trash, or more like discussing the cold hard truth...

Kenny Britt's funny interview after game

“Aw man.”“Aw man.”We’ve seen funny press conferences and interviews before (the best being Ellis Lankster), but we’ve never seen one like this. In a short 90-second interview after last night’s Titans-Steelers game, Kenny Britt successfully started off every reply with the phrase. We can’t tell if this was the result of a locker room bet/dare or if Britt was just so...

Steelers continue to struggle, but why?

While it’s pretty easy to make an argument that the Steelers are a drive away from being 1-4, an equally easy argument could be made that they’re two or three defensive plays away from being 4-1. At 4-1 the Steelers are considered a bit lucky, but good team overall that should see the playoffs and maybe compete at that level. At their actual record or 2-3, they’re a team that...

Steelers RB Mendenhall could play this Sunday

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall, who has an Achilles tendon injury, has a good shot to play this Sunday, according to CBS Sports. Is Kenny Britt Ready to rock?

Kenny Britt’s box score looked good. Four catches for 62 yards and a touchdown. While fantasy owners have to be pleased with that performance, there could have been more.. Britt was targeted eleven times and had some drops that would have led to an even better game on Thursday night. He also struggled in his route running. While he left yardage and fantasy points on the field,...

The Steelers Are Not In The Worst Shape

Hey, you might have heard, but the Steelers are 2-3. They have lost to the Oakland Raiders and Tennessee Titans on last second field goals. The sky is falling. The sun will not rise again. The Ravens are going to win two Superbowls this year. You will never know happiness and true love isn't real.At least, that appears to be the popular sentiment around the Steelers right now...
