Steelers will work out free agent QB Brian Hoyer on Tuesday.Hoyer will work out on the same day as free agent WR Plaxico Burress. This is the quarterback’s third known workout of the season. The Packers and Giants also had Hoyer in for visits. With Byron Leftwich (ribs) in doubt for Week 12 and Charlie Batch likely starting, the Steelers could be in the market for a back-up. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that free agent QB Mike Kafka will also be in attendance. Which QB will get the back-up spot to Charlie Batch? Could it be Mike Kafka or Hoyer, or could the Steelers go pick up Dennis Dixon from the Baltimore Ravens practice squad?
