That is unless you are Buffalo Bills’ head coach Chan Gailey. Week after week, loss after loss, Gailey gets in front of the reporters at the end of the game and praises the Bills for their effort. Praising an NFL team for their effort is like pointing out the sky is blue. I am sure every week, each team in the NFL gives it all of their effort to win the game. These are professional athletes, not high school kids. They are paid to win games. While appearing on NFL Network on Tuesday, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson said he is tired of hearing head coach Chan Gailey give the team high praise about their effort. “Every week he’s saying that we have the effort, you know, that we’re playing hard. Which is obvious,” Johnson said. “At this point you can’t be a team that’s so-called turning the corner if you’re not winning games. We still have more work to do. We still have to learn how to finish these games to be a team that’s making a push for the playoffs.” Hopefully this does not mean the locker room is turning against Gailey as some within the fan base have already turned against him. If the head coach is not careful and doesn’t start winning more games, he could be out of a job come January or sooner.
