Tuesday was anything but an off day for the Seahawks, who released three players while adding a trio of new faces, including veteran WR Brandon Stokley. Recurring injuries to Mike Williams necessitated the decision to add Stokely, a 12-year veteran who played under Seattle offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates when the pair were in Denver during the 2008 season. Stokely pulled in 49 receptions that year, which was topped only by the 68-catch season he recorded with Indianapolis in 2004. A fourth round selection by Baltimore in the 1999 draft, Stokely has caught 307 passes and 34 touchdowns while suiting up with the Ravens (1999-2002), Colts (2003-2006) and Broncos (2007-2009). Williams caught two passes for 35 yards in Sunday’s win over San Diego despite suffering a shoulder injury early in the contest. His status for Sunday at St. Louis remains questionable.
