As of right now through two weeks of the NFL season, the 49ers have earned themselves as a surprise team, going 2-0. But the last time the Niners went 2-0 was a couple of years ago, and it ended in a not-so-good outcome as they lost eight straight games. Nobody expects a team like San-Fran to go to 2-0. Most NFL fans expect them to go 0-2 after what they have shown this past decade pretty much. Frank Gore struggled last season which made them draft Glenn Coffee in the Draft. They were confused with their quarterbacks in Shaun Hill and Alex Smith, both who weren't that impressive during the 2008-09 season last year. Now they enter this season, led by Shaun Hill. Frank Gore has been playing sensational. Nobody can deny what he has been doing this year. Gore is right now in the Top Five in the National Football League in rushing, running for 237 yards on 38 carries for three touchdowns, including six yards per rush! Gore is projected to have 304 carries for 1,896 yards, and 24 touchdowns this season if he keeps this up. Although his game against Arizona wasn't impressive (22 carries for 30 yards), he made it up by rushing for 207 yards on 16 attempts with two touchdowns, including an 80-yard dash, in a 23-10 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Shaun Hill has been looking good, going 37-of-57 for 353 yards and one touchdown which gives him a 87.8 quarterback rating. Despite Isaac Bruce's age, he's been doing well this season as well, catching eight footballs for 109 yards. Patrick Willis is the leader on defense, who has 19 tackles this season. It's good that Mike Singletary is part of this team when he took over last season. Since Mike Nolan's departure, the Niners have been 7-2 entering Week Three with Mike Singletary taking over. The Niners will now be facing a tough Minnesota Vikings. Adrian Peterson's worst game was against San-Fran, as he had 14 carries for three yards. Even if the Niners lose this game, they have a long way to go this year. If they keep playing hard and make their opponents be feared, an NFC West title will be won in their hands.
