Super Bowl XLVII or 47 to those of us who are not roman numeral gurus will take place on Sunday. The NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers will play against the AFC Champion Baltimore Ravens. By now you are probably tired of hearing of the story lines, but here we go anyway. Brother versus brother as Jim and older brother John coach against each other in the biggest game of their lives. For the Ravens: It is Ray Lewis’ last ride, Ed Reed’s last game for the Ravens probably and a chance for Joe Flacco to show that he deserves Peyton Manning money in upcoming contract negotiations. The 49ers have the quarterback with tattoos, Randy Moss who is little more then decoy wide-out calling himself the greatest at his position and a David Akers,a kicker who has struggled all season. Enough of that. Who is favored in Super Bowl 47? The San Francisco 49ers are 3.5 point favorites against the Baltimore Ravens. The over/under for this game is 47.5 total points. San Francisco opened the week as a 5 poi...

Check out Ray Lewis’ gold-colored Super Bowl cleats (Photos)

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis will retire in style with these gold-colored cleats that he’ll wear against the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl. Under Armour’s FW13 cleats tell much of Lewis’ story. Lewis' kicks have “Psalms 91” on the toe — just like the T-shirt he wore under his pads during his final home game on Jan. 6.

This picture of John and Jim Harbaugh as Little Leaguers is classic (PHOTO)

In advance of the much-hyped Harbowl (or “Super Browl”, if you will), Reddit brings us this absolute gem from the Harbaugh brothers’ childhood. Check out young John and Jim decked out in their Baskin Robbins little league unis, with the elder John towering over the befuddled looking Jim: (via reddit) And after some incredible interweb sleuthing, we uncovered a few more classic...

The Ravens are focused on the Super Bowl, but it's never too early to start looking ahead. Mock Draft 1.0

The Ravens are focused on the Super Bowl, but here's a look at the draft. Here is my first look at the NFL Draft.  There are a lot of teams that need quarterbacks this year.  The problem, there are not enough QB's in the draft. I expect to see teams trying to trade down, will they have any takers? 1. Chiefs - Bjoern Warner, DE, Florida State...

Step Aside Mannings, Harbaugh Family Tree Far More Fascinating!

There will be no Mannings, not at Super Bowl XLVII. It’s brother vs. brother, certainly, a historic Super Bowl tale of opposing coaches. You could say it’s brotherly love, a moment when John Harbaugh, coach of the Baltimore Ravens, will stand across the field from Jim Harbaugh, coach of the San Francisco 49ers Sunday to fight for a possession of the Vince Lombardi Trophy, a 22...

Vernon Davis wishes he had thanked Mike Singletary for kicking him off the field

San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis wishes he could go back and thank former 49ers head coach Mike Singletary for kicking him off the field a few years ago. “I remember the very first time he kicked me off the field,” Davis said. “Tears were shed. I told him, ‘I want to be traded Coach. He said, ‘OK. I’ll find another team for you.’ That moment, it started to...

Why the San Francisco 49ers Will Win

Super Week and the media circus is finally over; all that’s left is The Big Game. Here are the five reasons I’m picking the Niners. 5. 49ers have the best players. They’ve had the best ensemble for the last two years (only missing out on the Super Bowl after two special team blunders by fill-in return man Kyle Williams in an OT game). They have better receivers (Michael Crabtree...
