Austin Seferian-Jenkins was selected with the 38th pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers already added a target with Mike Evans in the first round and now have some nice targets for Quarterback, Josh McCown in Seferian-Jenkins, Evans, and Vincent Jackson.
Josh McCown needs the perfect situation to be a big time talent, and to continue to produce. The Buccaneers made it their goal to make McCown their guy, and now McCown has a more than worthy crop of guys to throw to. The correct system for McCown is being inserted.
Last year, McCown was excellent throwing to tall targets in Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery, and Martellus Bennett. Now, he will once again have taller guys to throw to, with Mike Evans at about 6’3, and Seferian-Jenkins at about 6’5. I think there’s a correlation between Josh McCown’s success and having taller, athletic targets and it looks like the Buccaneers agree with me.
