The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have shown this offseason that they will not hesitate to pull the trigger on getting rid of someone that they don't see fit for the organization.

Raheem Morris and his staff was fired. Safety Tanard Jackson was released. Tight end Kellen Winslow was traded.

Could defensive tackle Brian Price be the next man on his way out the door?

According to a report by rantsports.com, the Buccaneers are entertaining the idea of trading Price, who was a second-round pick in 2010. Drafted in the same year as fellow defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, the pair was supposed to anchor the defensive line for years to come.

// > Now, it seems as though he may not be around much longer. Price has had it rough during his first two NFL seasons. He suffered severe pelvic and hip injuries during his rookie season and was limited to just games and recorded just six tackles. However, Price bounced back in 2011 and played well even though he was nowhere 100 percent healthy. He started 14 games for the Bucs and had 24 tackles and three sacks. Just when it looked like Price was headed for a breakout 2012 season, tragedy struck his family. Last month, Price lost his older sister after she was killed during a hit-and-run accident. It was not the first time Price had to deal with the loss of a sibling; two brothers were also murdered while he was growing up in California. The loss of his sister hit Price hard and he spent three days in a Tampa Bay hospital. Price also reportedly got into a fist fight with rookie first-round pick Mark Barron during a film session recently. These incidents have caused Price to miss a majority of the Bucs' organized team activities and minicamps this offseason. That may be why the Bucs are exploring trading him. Rantsports.com lists Cleveland and Dallas as possible suitors. Be sure to check out other great articles at Sports Media 101. var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
