Last week during the pre-draft press conference, Mike Tannenbaum mentioned that there were “eight to ten” players that the team was looking at with the 30th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. With that in mind, we wanted to take a look at some of the players that Mike Tannenbaum might be looking to add to his team.
Aaron Williams / DB / Texas / 6’0” 204 lbs
Analysis – I think there’s a pretty good likelihood that Aaron Williams is in the mix for the Jets as their CB of choice if it comes to that with the 30th pick. With Jimmy Smith’s troubled past, I think that while he might be the most talented corner in this draft, he’s just too much of a risk with money, time and fame. Dennis Thurman himself made a trip to Texas to learn more about the defensive back, who has been questioned about whether he’s best suited as a safety or a corner.
