Lost to some degree in DeMarco Murray’s record-breaking performance on Sunday, though rightfully so, will be the contributions of Phillip Tanner, the undrafted running back with local ties. A graduate of Kimball High School in Dallas, Tanner finally got a chance to run on Sunday, with Felix Jones out, Tashard Choice suffering from fumble-itis and Murray in need of some rest after running for all those yards. Tanner took the opportunity, posting 34 yards on six carries, an average of 5.7 yards per carry, and a touchdown. "Oh, man, it was lovely," Tanner said of his first regular season NFL action, per ESPN Dallas. "First of all, I just want to give thanks to the offensive line and Romo and all the guys. When I walk in the huddle, they don’t look at me like, 'Oh, who the hell is this rookie?'"
