Fox Sports Southwest:
It seems that Tim Tebow has spent more time so far this offseason speaking at church events then working on his deep routes.
But the Tebow Tour 2013 won't be making one of his scheduled stops. The New York Jets quarterback has backed out of an event at the First Baptist Dallas Church in April, Tebow announced on his Twitter account.
The church is the home of pastor Robert Jeffress, who is no stranger to controversy based on his views of other religions and homosexuality.
Tebow's scheduled appearance drew immediate criticism. He addressed the situation on Twitter in a series of posts.
"While I was looking forward to sharing a message of hope and Christ's unconditional love with the faithful members of the historic First Baptist Church of Dallas in April, due to new information that has been brought to my attention, I have decided to cancel my upcoming appearance." Tebow tweeted. "I will continue to use the platform God has blessed me with to bring Fait...

TRADE WINDS BLOWING
The New York Jets reportedly are expected to "shop" backup quarterback Tim Tebow during the NFL Scouting Combine this week.
The football world may be closing in on Tim Tebow, but the rest of the planet still seems to love the good-natured guy. However, after he agreed to speak at a Dallas-area church that is known for its controversial views on homosexuality among many things (like claiming Islam encourages pedophiles to do what they do) you had to start to wonder if the skeleton was coming out of the...
WELL, ISN'T THAT SPECIAL?
Citing "new information," Tim Tebow took to Twitter to announce that he has canceled his scheduled appearance at the controversial First Baptist Dallas Church.
Tim Tebow still plans to preach his message of faith to the masses, just not at the risk of his reputation. After agreeing to a speaking engagement at the First Baptist Church of Dallas last week, Tebow changed his tune on Thursday. Tebow was scheduled to deliver two sermons to the church audience of more than 11,000, but the controversial views and beliefs of reverend Robert Jeffress...
The New York Jets started the expected purging of their roster this afternoon, cutting four veterans and waiving another player. The moves made this afternoon now save the Jets a reported $32 million against the salary cap in 2013. The next question for the cash-strapped Jets is, when do they cut quarterback Tim Tebow? Tebow is currently under contract for the 2013 season for $2...
According to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, the Jets will try to trade quarterback Tim Tebow at next week’s scouting combine in Indianapolis.
The Jets will try to shop him at this week’s scouting combine. The first day they can trade him is March 12, so they might keep him until then with the hope that they can swing a deal. Chances are, no one will bite, so they’ll end up...
The purge of players from the New York Jets roster started this week and with the opening of the NFL Combine this week in Indianapolis, the Jets are trying to move a familiar name, quarterback Tim Tebow. The story of Tebow and his season with the Jets in 2012 have been well documented and the team is trying to move on from the failed experiment while they are heading into the offseason...
The New York Jets have already cut ties with several veteran
players this week, and they will next shop backup quarterback Tim Tebow at the
scouting combine, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN New York.
The first day the Jets are able to trade Tebow is March 12.
Rather than cut him prior to this date, they may keep him until then and see if
they can swing a deal to recoup some value...
Even with all the drama and hoopla that surrounds Tim Tebow, I would still be interested to see what would happened if he was giving the opportunity to start a full season.
In the half season he started with the Broncos, it wasn’t always pretty, but he did lead them to wins and a playoff victory.
Was that just a fluke or does he have a weird ability to win ugly? We might never...
According to Rich Cimini of ESPN New York, the Jets will attempt to ”shop” Tim Tebow at this week’s Scouting Combine.
Cimini adds that they can’t officially trade Tebow until March 12, so it would make sense to see them aggressively pursue a trade in the next few weeks.
Cimini ultimately believes “no one will bite” and they will end up cutting him loose before...
