Spiller TD & stat details

Some stat geeks and fantasy footballers wondered why C.J. Spiller was credited with a 35-yard touchdown in Sunday's game, after he fumbled 30 yards into a run at the Titans' 5 then recovered in the end zone. Often teams are credited with miscellaneous yardage on fumble recoveries. Mike Haim, who provides the Bills with expert stats consulting on game days, explains: The...

Fitz ties team record

Ryan Fitzpatrick tied a team mark Sunday by hitting 10 different receivers with passes in the game against the Titans. It was just the fourth time that’s happened in team history and the first time since Sept. 8, 1985 when Vince Ferragamo used 10 receivers in a game against San Diego. Joe Ferguson did it in 1984 against the Jets and Johnny Green and Tommy O’Connell teams up to...

Fitz out to improve accuracy

That’s why he’s out to improve his passing accuracy. “I think consistency is probably the biggest one,” he said of the things he’s trying to do with his game specifically. ”Going out there and being efficient...

Enemy Intelligence: Last week's Buffalo Bills game

The New York Jets are coming off a 28-24 road loss to the New York Jets. The Bills took a 24-21 fourth quarter lead, but Mark Sanchez's fourth touchdown pass of the game, this one to Santonio Holmes, with 1:01 left to play gave the Jets the win. What I saw from Buffalo that game, and the others of theirs I've seen, after the jump.
