Terry Bradshaw raised some eyebrows on Sunday when he said Reggie Bush was running like he was chasing a bucket of fried chicken, but he says the comment was all a big misunderstanding.
I think Curt Menefee might want to take back what he told me about how he likes it that Terry Bradshaw is still doing the highlights for FOX. Curt seems shockingly not thrilled with Bradshaw’s joke about Reggie Bush running like he’s chasing chicken. In Terry’s defense… ha ha, just kidding. He’s indefensibly awful.

Bradshaw said the comment was just part of a running joke Sunday that Johnson’s “big thing is chicken, Kentucky Fried Chicken. He won’t share it with anybody.”

During halftime of the early NFL games yesterday, Fox’s Terry Bradshaw made the comment that Dolphins running back Reggie Bush was running like he was chasing a bucket of chicken. During the highlight, you can hear Bradshaw say

While showing a Reggie Bush touchdown run from the first half of the Dolphins-Colts game, Bradshaw commented that the Miami running back was “chasing that bucket of chicken that the wind was blowing the other day,” leading to chuckles from Bradshaw and Johnson and an awkward groan from co-host Curt Menefee..I suppose he could’ve used a better choice of words...
Terry Bradshaw chose the wrong reference at the wrong time.
On Monday, Bradshaw apologized for comments he made during Fox's halftime show when he said Reggie Bush was running "like he was chasing that bucket of chicken." Bradshaw's comment was referencing fellow-analyst Jimmy Johnson, who eats fried chicken every Sunday.
