The 25 best NFL players under the age of 25

Three years into his career, Adams is arguably the top safety in football. He's made consecutive Pro Bowls and was an All-Pro for the Jets in 2019 with 75 tackles, 6.5 sacks and one pick-six. Adams doesn't turn 25 until October.

The best seems yet to come for Allen after a terrific rookie season in Jacksonville. The Kentucky alum recorded 10.5 sacks and is set to see more playing time in his sophomore campaign, which will be his age-23 season.

Andrews became an elite receiving tight end in his second NFL season, recording 64 catches for 852 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2019. That production gave Andrews Pro Bowl honors at age 23.

Barkley showed why he was the second overall pick in the 2018 draft by winning Offensive Rookie of the Year and leading the NFL with 2,028 yards from scrimmage. His production fell last year as he battled an ankle injury, but the 23-year-old Barkley is still on the short list of the top running backs in football.

There was major hype when Bosa was selected second overall by the 49ers in the 2019 draft, and he backed it up by winning Defensive Rookie of the Year. Playing all 16 games, Bosa made the Pro Bowl and recorded nine sacks and 47 tackles. He turns 23 in October.

Selected in the second round of last year's draft, the 22-year-old Brown immediately became a star for the Titans. He had 52 catches for 1,051 yards and eight touchdowns in his rookie season, adding one more score as a rusher. 

Pittsburgh seemed to solve its run defense issues by drafting Bush 10th overall last year. The Michigan alum recorded 109 tackles and also added plenty of big plays with two interceptions and four forced fumbles. He is entering is age-22 season.

Chark had a breakout sophomore season for the Jags, with 73 catches for 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns. The 2018 second-round pick has quickly become a No. 1 wideout and turns 24 in September.

The 24-year-old Chubb established himself as an elite running back last season, his first as a full-time starter. He rushed for 1,494 yards on 298 carries and had 1,772 yards from scrimmage.

Pittsburgh traded its first-round pick to acquire the 23-year-old Fitzpatrick from Miami last season, but the price seemed worth it. He finished the season as an All-Pro with 59 tackles, five interceptions and three fumble recoveries for a terrific Steelers defense.

Garrett, 24, has been as advertised after being drafted first overall in 2017. Over 37 career games, Garrett has 30.5 sacks and 65 quarterback hits. He's looking to rebound after being suspended late in 2019.

Godwin found more playing time in Tampa Bay last season and delivered in his third NFL season. He made the Pro Bowl with 86 catches for 1,333 yards and nine touchdowns in 14 games at age 23.

Humphrey was an All-Pro in his third NFL season, with three interceptions, three fumble recoveries and two touchdowns, along with 65 tackles and 14 passes defensed. Soon to be 24, he has been a huge part of Baltimore's excellent defense over the last three seasons.

Jackson won league MVP in his first full season as a starting quarterback, and the best could be yet to come. He finished the 2019 leading all quarterbacks in passing touchdowns (36) and rushing yards (1,206) while going 13-2 as the Ravens starter during the regular season. Jackson is entering his age 23 season.

Jacobs had a fantastic rookie season for the Raiders, after he was selected in the first round. He had 1,316 yards from scrimmage and seven touchdowns in 13 games and, at just 22, will remain a huge part of the team's offense in 2020.

James was an All-Pro in his rookie season in 2018 with 105 tackles, three picks and 3.5 sacks before an injury-plagued sophomore campaign. The Chargers expect the star safety to rebound for his third season at age 24.

Widely considered the top player in the game, Mahomes has won league MVP and a Super Bowl before his 25th birthday. The Chiefs star is already 24-7 as a starter during the regular season and turns 25 in September.

After three brilliant seasons, McCaffrey was rewarded with a huge contract by the Panthers. He was an All-Pro in 2019, leading the league with 2,392 yards from scrimmage and 19 touchdowns at age 23. He's caught more than 100 balls twice already in his career.

Metcalf had a lot of hype coming out of college in 2019 but fell to the second round due to injury concerns. The 22-year-old made Seattle look smart by catching 58 passes for 900 yards and seven touchdowns in his rookie season.

Moore, 23, has emerged as a clear No. 1 receiver two years into his career. He had 87 catches for 1,175 yards and four touchdowns for a lackluster Panthers offense last season.

Murray, entering his age-23 season, has already shown why he was the first overall pick in the 2019 draft, winning Offensive Rookie of the Year. He threw for 3,722 yards and 20 touchdowns while adding 544 yards rushing and four scores.

Nelson became an elite offensive lineman immediately upon his NFL arrival in 2018 and has been a Pro Bowler and All-Pro in back-to-back seasons. The Notre Dame alum, who is 24, was the sixth overall pick in 2018.

Smith-Schuster is hoping to rebound from a 2019 season plagued by injury and poor quarterback play in Pittsburgh. He had a breakout 2018 season, making the Pro Bowl after producing 111 receptions for 1,426 yards and seven touchdowns. Even after three NFL seasons, Smith-Schuster doesn't turn 24 until November.

Sutton has become Denver's clear No. 1 receiver, emerging from the shadows of Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders to produce 72 catches for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns last season. He turns 25 in October.

Houston has gotten great play from Watson since selecting him 12th overall in 2017. He's made back-to-back Pro Bowls and has a 24-13 regular-season record as a starter, throwing for 71 touchdowns with a cumulative 101.0 Pass Rating. He also had 1,233 yards rushing and 14 rushing touchdowns.
