Found December 19, 2010 on NE Patriots Draft:

With the Packers proving that they had Matt Flynn-stones, the Patriots ended up with quite a fight Sunday in New England. A predicted rout by many ended up as a 31-27 win by the thinnest of margins.

Here are our Gameballs and Goats:

Gameballs:

Devin McCourty – Right now, he is easily the best defender on the Patriots team, and that is with all due respect to Vince Wilfork and Jerod Mayo. A sack, a key tackle for loss, and some solid coverage while banged up cemented our vote for DROY.

Aaron Hernandez – What a matchup nightmare. The “ninja” scored two touchdowns, beating Charles Woodson on one of them. He is a player that has to be accounted for on every play.

Dan Connolly – That was awesome. Get well Big Dan.

Honorable Mentions: Kyle Arrington, Tully Banta-Cain (Sack), Dane Fletcher

Goats:

Tackling – Gary Guyton and Rob Ninkovich looked lost at times, while others looked nearly unwilling to stop some of the Packers runners. That was atrocious.

Brandon Meriweather – We would like to meet his geometry teacher from high-school. His terrible angles cost the Patriots another long touchdown.

Penalties – After five relatively clean games, the Patriots dirtied up the field with seven penalties, including three for first downs. That is unacceptable.

Dishonorable Mentions: Gary Guyton, Tully Banta-Cain (Penalty)
