Found July 29, 2012 on Buffalo Wins:
For about the last 15 years or so, everyone and their mother has been wondering when the Bills would find the next Jim Kelly? The QB position has been a black hole of futility since #12 hung up his uniform, and fans have grown tired of waiting for the next one. For pretty much the same time frame, I've been wondering where the next Bruce Smith is. Sure, Smith was here for 3 years after Kelly retired, but Smith was pretty much a shell of his former self during those years. And since he left, the Bills pass rush has been pretty anemic. The only time they seemed to be able to get a pass rush was during Gregg Williams heyday, when he would send in the kitchen sink to blitz the opposing QBs. Forget Jauron's cover 2 defense. The Bills haven't been able to get a pass rush with their front four since the days of Bryce Paup and Smith. Since 2007, the Bills have ranked 29th, 28th, 18th (4-way tie), 27th, and 27th (4-way tie) in sacks. Put it together and the Bills have had the...

Terrence McGee Worried About Getting Cut

Sal Maiorana published an article yesterday that confirms something we’ve suspected for a while now: that Terrence McGee may be on the outside looking for a roster spot on the Buffalo Bills. It may seem strange that in a cornerback group dominated by rookies and NFL sophomores, the player with the most extensive experience and resume of solid play could be the odd man out. However...

Bills Training Camp: 3 Thoughts

1. Now that training camp has arrived, so too have the injuries. Torell Troup, Terrence McGee, and Erik Pears continued to be limited, while David Nelson (bruised leg), Kellen Heard, and Shawne Merriman (rolled ankle) have been added to the list of those held back from participation in practice. While none appear to be huge, it is worth a single raised eyebrow that Merriman has rolled...

2012 PPR Fantasy Football Sleepers: Bills RB C.J Spiller

Bills Running Back C.J. Spiller will be a great value in mid-rounds for PPR league owners. Training camps have gotten underway all across the National Football League and that means that the 2012 fantasy football season is right around the corner. The easiest way to get an advantage in fantasy football is by knowing something your opponents do not. This is why sleeper picks are...

Bills receivers impressed by rookie CB Gilmore

It hasn't taken Stephon Gilmore long to impress his Buffalo Bills teammates. Whether it's the soft-spoken, level-headed approach the rookie cornerback takes off the field, or the aggressiveness and speed he's shown in going stride-for-stride with a receiver in coverage, the first-round draft pick has begun drawing raves three days into training camp. Receiver Stevie...

Bills' Nelson will miss just a few days

Buffalo Bills receiver David Nelson sustained a strained tendon in his right knee on Saturday, and it will keep him out of practice for four or five days. But the injury looked more serious than that when it occurred. "It's nothing serious," Nelson said, according to the Buffalo News. "No long-term damage. The way it looked on film, the way it felt on the field...

Buffalo Bills: AFC East Pretenders

There is a good deal of optimism coming out of Bills camp this year.
